Regionally recognized experts will lead you and your fellow administrators in three multimedia, interactive mental health strategy and programming trainings.
Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard, the Director of the Food Allergy Bravery Clinic at CHOP, will speak in the morning; presenting a comprehensive examination of the pervasive, long-term effects on mental health in children created by extreme distress and will present functional school based strategies to help facilitate.
Dr. Amy Lynch, a specialist in post-institutionalization and associate professor of instruction in the College of Public Health at Temple University, will speak on strategies for assisting students who have experienced childhood trauma from an occupational therapist perspective.
The PTS Clinical Director Team will introduce PTS’ new MTSS program for social emotional wellness. Super Self: A Sensory and Behavioral Approach to Social Emotional Wellness, is a multi-disciplinary, multi-tiered and evidenced based framework that allows for enhancing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for ALL students. Referral processes, tiered interventions, and data collection will be addressed.
