Collaboration with Other Clinicians and Educators
Student needs are multifaceted. They require an integrated approach that enables students to fully access their education and thrive. When you partner with us, you collaborate with therapists across disciplines to implement services in a way that addresses the whole child.
Flexibility as an Independent Contractor
Clinicians who work alongside PTS are independent contractors (IC). This means you have the option to choose a part- or full-time schedule to begin with and can specify your preferred location to minimize travel time.
You will be responsible for getting your own health insurance, which means you can choose the exact coverage that suits your needs. Along with that, while working with a tax professional, you may be able to write off more work-related expenses on your taxes.
Personalized School Placement
As an IC with PTS, you will never be an island unto yourself. Rather, you will be connected to a large, ever-growing network of school-based providers. This starts with the placement. When you choose to engage with us, we will take the time to match you with a school district that suits your skills and career goals to ensure a good fit for both parties.
Ongoing Access to Support from Clinical Directors
After you start working, PTS will provide you with opportunities to continue learning and connecting with fellow therapists. Our dedicated Clinical Directors act as a bridge of communications between school administrators and therapists and provide clinicians with access to support whenever they need it.
Optional Annual School-Based Academy & Free Resource Library
Additionally, we offer an optional School-Based Academy that can help you feel confident in the school setting when:
- Writing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Developing and maintaining relationships with other school-based professionals
- Managing therapy caseloads through optimal scheduling and the small group model
- Implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and Response to Intervention and Instruction (MTSS-RtII) approaches
