Fieldwork Placement Program

PTS greatly values Clinical Education experiences and supporting the next generation of therapists! Through our fieldwork program, students have received real world, on-site school-based practice opportunities in preschool, elementary, middle, and high schools. PTS provides students the opportunity to carry a caseload, evaluate and write up assessments, conceptualize and advocate for therapy professions, and participate in a variety of learning experiences such as IEP meetings, consultation with teachers and parents, and collaborate on MTSS programming. PTS appreciates our partnerships with local universities and we are grateful to our supervising therapists for working with students to guide their development toward entry-level practice. We look forward to continued partnerships and are happy to help student programs by providing resources and answering any questions you may have.

PTS supports student therapists by providing Physical Therapy clinical education assignments and Occupational Therapy Level I and Level II OTR and COTA fieldwork assignments within our current school-based programs for students from Pre-K – 21 yrs.

PTS has also supported undergraduate Speech and Language Pathology programs at all levels of graduate level affiliations and undergraduate shadowing and observations.

If you are a student interested in shadowing to earn observation hours, please contact Charlotte Pierce at

If you are a university student seeking Fieldwork placement or internship with one of PTS’ therapists, please contact your Fieldwork Coordinator through your university. All placements must be arranged directly through the university and the directors of our Fieldwork program.

If you are a college/university interested in learning more about our Fieldwork Placement Program, please contact the Directors of our fieldwork program. Supervision requests made directly to PTS therapists will not be honored.
