What Is PTS?
Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is a school-based therapy and related service provider staffing agency. However, unlike other traditional school-based staffing agencies, we develop and maintain long-term partnerships with school districts and the service providers who engage with us.
Through our many integrated services, we help our partners and the service providers who work alongside us put students first. Learn more about what makes up PTS below.
The Therapeutic EcoSystem™: Teams, Tools, & Technology
By facilitating collaboration and communication between service providers and school administrators, our approach improves quality of provided services, reduces referrals, and contains costs, all while helping more students who need support.
To achieve this, we use an integrated network of Teams, Tools, and Technology that make up the Therapeutic EcoSystem™:
Teams
We engage with school-based, highly qualified therapists and service providers, and have a dedicated leadership team that includes supportive Lead Therapists, expert Clinical Specialists, and experienced Clinical Directors.
Tools
We provide our partnering schools, teachers, and parents with access to exclusive clinician-designed activities, resources, and interventions as part of our Capable Classroom™ Toolkit.
Technology
We use our BudgetWatch™ billing software technology to assess program effectiveness, make suggestions, and help school administrators make real-time adjustments to improve their special education programs.
Individualized Placements: Independent Contractor Opportunities With Access to Support
When we place a therapist or service provider, we continue to provide them with access to support, while also acting as an extension of the school’s special education program.
We take an individualized approach to school-based therapy and related service staffing to ensure a good fit. So, whether you’re looking for your next opportunity or are just beginning your school-based career, you can find a match.
The independent contractors who work alongside us have access to support when they need it, along with a huge library of therapist-designed interventions and to help supplement your individual therapy sessions and classroom-level instruction.
We also offer an optional School-Based Academy program that begins every August. During the program, therapists and service providers learn how to do important tasks like create an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), while getting the chance to network with other likeminded professionals.
Bridges of Communication: Maximizing Benefits for Students, Service Providers, Teachers, & School Administrators
By creating partnerships with both schools and service providers, we create a community of professionals who work together to support the unique needs of each student. The therapists and related service providers we place in our partnering school districts work alongside and learn from one another to deliver targeted, integrated services to the students on their caseloads.
To address common concerns at the school or classroom level, PTS provides trainings to teachers and paraprofessionals. We also have a kit of clinician-designed resources to help teachers apply therapeutic strategies to their daily classroom instruction.
Our Clinical Directors act as a bridge of communication so that service providers, teachers, and school administrators can collaborate to improve the delivery of special education programming, help more students, contain costs, and meet growing demand.
