Pediatric Therapeutic Services

At PTS, it really is all about the children. That’s where it all starts and ends. Every day we strive to maximize their ability to become active, contributing members of their communities. We also strive to leave them a world that is a better place.

Because we serve children of all races, creeds, and colors, from families across the political spectrum, we approach their future, and the future of the world they will inherit, in ways that supersede ideology.

We apply common sense rules to the way that we operate as a business. And believe us when we say: ‘Is it good for the children?’ is an excellent barometer. Here are just a few examples:

·We ‘reuse’ paper because we know that – even though trees are a renewable resource – using both sides of a piece of paper is a more effective use of that resource, and we recycle it because we know that it is a more efficient means to more paper. It also saves you money if we run a more efficient organization.

When placing our network of more than 2000 school-based therapists, we carefully balance the needs of the children, teachers, and districts that we serve, with the necessary ‘balance’ of the lives of those therapists. This includes ensuring reasonable proximity that saves travel time and costs, including fuel. This reduces overall usage and reduces our dependence on foreign oil.

PTS upgrades its computer equipment on an established schedule, ensuring the most energy-efficient and effective technology possible; we also recycle our ink and toner cartridges, reducing our burden on landfills and, again, providing for multiples uses of the same products.

The company also adheres to the letter and the spirit of software licensing agreements, because it is the right thing to do, and because it enables reinvestment and ongoing innovation that benefits our local communities, our country, and the world as a whole.

This common sense corporate environmental policy enables us to perform soundly and cost-effectively while also enabling us to be good stewards for the children that we serve, for the communities that we serve in, and for the world that we all hope to leave behind for future generations of children.
